Ella Langley was a special guest on Riley Green’s Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour. Therefore, the two have had ample opportunities to dazzle the crowd with “You Look Like You Love Me.” So naturally, that was the crowd’s first thought when Langley recently joined the “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” singer onstage.

“I know what y’all are thinking,” Green said, almost apologetically. “But if y’all don’t mind, me and Ella have been on tour together, and I’m obviously a big fan of her and her music. We’ve got a big song together, and some of y’all may have heard that one. But we also have another song that we haven’t played in front of anybody before. We are thinking about playing it in front of y’all tonight. If y’all don’t mind…”

“So wish us luck here, and if we mess it up, just don’t post it, I guess,” said the “Worst Way” singer. “This is a song I wrote called ‘Don’t Mind If I Do.’”

The success of “You Look Like You Love Me” is a testament to the power of social media. A clip of Ella Langley singing the song’s verse and hook solo gained 10.5 million views on TikTok. Langley had been opening for fellow Alabama native Riley Green on his Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour. The duo spontaneously performed “You Look Like You Love Me” during the tour finale.

“I really just sent it to him so we could sing it together on tour,” said the “Strangers” singer. “We had been doing another song together, but then we just ripped into this song and it’s been a whirlwind ever since.”
