Essential Oasis: 5 Deep Cuts We’d Love To Hear at the Reunion

Oasis is surprisingly getting back together in 2025 for a reunion run. Fans are already speculating which songs the famed Britpop-rock artists are going to play. While we’re sure they’ll bring out some of their greatest hits like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger”, it would be fantastic if they whipped out a few lesser-known songs. Let’s look at five Oasis deep cuts we’d love to hear live when the reunion tour happens!

1. “Half The World Away”

“Half The World Away” is one of Oasis’ softer songs, and it doesn’t get enough love. It easily gets buried under the band’s snarkier, heavier works. Yet, this 1994 track still shines as one of the best Oasis deep cuts in their discography. Noel Gallagher’s lead vocals are gorgeous, the melody is on-point, and the overall ballad nature of the song is really beautiful. It should not have been a B-side.

2. “Bonehead’s Bank Holiday”

Another stellar B-side that deserves more attention, “Bonehead’s Bank Holiday” is Oasis’ sunniest, most easy-going tune on (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? Some compare it to a Beatles song, and we get why. It’s dripping with Britpop energy and is quite a danceable tune. This one really deserved a proper release.

3. “Talk Tonight”

This 1995 song was allegedly written after Noel quit Oasis after their horrendous and legendary performance at Whiskey A Go Go in Los Angeles, California. Noel was going to break up the band, and that didn’t quite happen. He wrote “Talk Tonight” instead, and it’s one of the most tender pieces of work to come out of Oasis. Few songs describe the relationship between Noel and Liam Gallagher quite like this one.

4. “The Shock Of Lightning”

This “newer” track from 2008’s Dig Out Your Soul was a single from the band’s last album, but we think it deserves more attention. Oasis broke up the year after it was released, and the whole spectacle overshadowed this song and, realistically, the whole album. It’s a harmonious and addictive song, and one of the best on that record.

5. “The Nature Of Reality”

Another late-career hit, some would say “The Nature Of Reality” is too popular to be a deep cut. Still, it’s unique enough to get a spot on this list of Oasis deep cuts. It’s one of few songs written by the band’s bassist Andy Bell, and it sounds notably different from the brothers’ songwriting credits. The tempo is slow and the incorporation of sleigh bells brings it to the edge of Oasis-ness, but the track still manages to sound like an Oasis song.
