However, the viewers aren’t the only ones who are excited to return to the Dutton Ranch. Lainey Wilson is chomping at the bit to make her return to the small screen as Abby in the hit TV show. Wilson made her acting debut in the first half of the fifth season of Yellowstone. The role opened up a new avenue of creativity for her. As a result, she’s excited to step back into the role later this year. Recently, she spoke to radio host Ashley Morrison about the role and getting her music on the show.

Lainey Wilson Delivers Yellowstone Updates

Morrison moved into the topic, saying, “You said the movie business is even crazier than the music business going to say, like, Yellowstone. Is that something actively working on now?”

“Actually, yes,” Lainey Wilson said. However, the production seems to be moving slowly. “We haven’t filmed just yet but hopefully we will be filming here soon,” she revealed. “I don’t have the script or anything just yet. But I’m down to keep acting. It’s another way for me to be creative and it’s fun,” she added.

Morrison, like many fans, wanted to know if songs from Whirlwind would appear on the show’s soundtrack. “You know, I pitched the whole record just hoping they would put all of them in there,” Wilson said. “We’ll see what happens. I think it kind of just depends on what they’re wanting the character to say. And me and Abby, the character, we really do have a lot in common,” she added. “It will be interesting to see which ones they choose.”
