Once declaring that country was cool again, Lainey Wilson wasted no time carving out her own place in country music. Helping usher in a new era of country music, Wilson released several studio albums. Back in 2022, she took over the airwaves with her Bell Bottom Country. And just two years later, she is releasing her newest album Whirlwind. With fans already gushing over the album, it seems that even country singers like Miranda Lambert are taking a moment to celebrate Wilson and Whirlwind.

Besides being a fan of Wilson, Lambert helped bring Whirlwind to life when she collaborated with the singer on the song “Good Horses.” Already bringing in nearly two million streams on Spotify, fans loved the harmony between Wilson and Lambert. Sharing a special performance on Twitter, Lambert captioned the post, writing, “Happy release day @laineywilson! Love you sister and I’m so proud of this song you and @lukedick and I wrote.”
Although both singers know how to entertain a stadium full of fans, the pair decided to take a simple approach when singing “Good Horses.” With nothing more than their guitars, Wilson and Lambert used the natural setting to showcase their mesmerizing voices.

Lainey Wilson Shares Insight Into Her Writing Process
With Lambert sharing her love for the collaboration, fans also took time to praise both singers with comments like, “What a Great Song—2 Incredible artists sharing their gift with us—Congratulations to Lainey and Miranda on an incredible Duet !!” And one person continued, “Love this song 2 incredible Country Lady Singers Who both struggle to get where they are today. Lainey Wilson is phenomenal.”
Giving some insight into her writing process, Wilson explained how she can channel other people’s pain. Speaking with Apple Music, she said, “I’ll observe other people and I will be able to become more empathetic towards people. I’m able to take some of their pain on, which is one of my worst qualities and my best qualities. But I can write from somebody else’s perspective. And I think just songwriting in general has made me a better person.”
When asked what she learned from her new album, Wilson simply stated, “I’m learning how to just trust myself.”
