While the weekend is here, Saturday marked the kickoff of a new season of college football. With the Florida State Seminoles facing off against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at noon, college football gears up for another heart-pounding season. As colleges look to make history with a National Championship win, College GameDay kicks off their first broadcast of the season. And even before the first tackle, College GameDay is already making headlines as they tagged Jelly Roll to help them with the new anthem for the 2024 season.

Featured on his Beautifully Broken album, the song “Get By” did more than entertain fans when the lyric video brought in over 100,000 views. Continuing to shine in country music, the song will be the new anthem for College GameDay. Throughout the previous seasons, the show used songs from groups like Judah & The Lion, Post Malone, Fall Out Boy, and Lauren Alaina.
Praising Jelly Roll for his contributions to country music, Curtis Friends, the vice president of marketing at ESPN, said, “Jelly Roll is a talented, award-winning artist whose music speaks to the passion of college football fans across the country, and we’re excited ‘Get By’ will soundtrack the sport all season long.”
Jelly Roll isn’t the only country music act serving on the soundtrack of this college football season. Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson, and The Cadillac Three are once again featured in College GameDay’s opening rendition of “Comin’ to Your City’.

Jelly Roll And Bunnie Xo Not Sharing Gifts On Anniversary
Although thrilled about ESPN using his song, Jelly Roll didn’t write “Get By” with college football in mind. Thankfully, the lyrics seemed to embrace the college football lifestyle as they included “show up Sunday morning looking just like last night.” Another part of the song reads, “Staring down the clock.” Finding a great deal of college football comparisons in the song, fans will hear Jelly Roll each weekend throughout the season.
Outside of college football and country music, Jelly Roll continues to share his love for his wife, Bunnie Xo. Always gushing over each other, Bunnie Xo recently revealed how the two will not be sharing gifts on their anniversary. She explained, “My husband is a Capricorn Venus, so he’s not romantic at all. A Capricorn Venus is turned on by hard work. We are just both goal-oriented. For our anniversary this year, we’re not buying each other gifts. We’re donating to a charity. That makes us feel good.”
Besides feeling good about helping others, Bunnie Xo insisted she wanted to be useful. “We’re at a point right now where we both just want to be purposeful. We want to be useful. We want to change other people’s lives, ‘cause we already changed our life, so now it’s our time to give back.”
