Five months after Cowboy Carter debuted to equal amounts of fanfare and criticism, Beyoncé is now proving that she deserves a space in country music. Her nominations include Female Song of 2024 for “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Cover Song of 2024 for “Jolene” and “Blackbiird,” and Song of 2024 for “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

Additional nominations include Collaboration Song of 2024 for “Blackbiird,” Crossover Song of 2024 for “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus, and Storyteller Song of 2024 for “16 Carriages.” Finally, she’s nominated for People’s Artist of 2024, Social Country Star of 2024, and Album of 2024 for Cowboy Carter.

Fan votes decide the award winners. Voting began on August 13 and continues until August 23. The People’s Choice Awards have long been a way for fans to show their love and appreciation for an artist and their creative works. With that in mind, it seems fitting that Beyoncé is one of the artists leading the nominations. Especially after her husband, Jay-Z, called out the GRAMMYs in February for never awarding her Album of the Year.
