While nurturing a solo career, Frankie Valli landed the spotlight as part of the Four Seasons. Throughout the decades, Valli watched as the group landed numerous hits like “Walk Like a Man”, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Grease.” With the help of Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi, and Tommy DeVito, Valli landed a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Four Seasons sold over 100 million albums worldwide as their music continues to hit the airwaves. But recently, fans voiced their concern after footage showed Valli struggling to get through a performance.

Back in May, Valli celebrated his 90th birthday. Having spent over 70 years in the spotlight, the singer continued to give performances. On August 3rd, Valli traveled to the Mountain Winery near Saratoga for a special concert. With the stage set and backup vocalists at the ready, the singer appeared to pause as he walked up a few stairs. Even after the performance kicked off, Valli seemed out of sorts as some suggested he was lip-syncing.
Frankie Valli Looks To Tour Until 2025
With videos of the performance bringing in over four million views, fans wanted some answers about Valli. Comments included, “What promoter forced this poor man on stage?” Another person wrote, “This really makes me sad. Who thought this was a good idea? I saw him probably 40 years ago. And boy did they put on a show. But this is disrespectful, to his legacy. This just isn’t right. He’s not even moving his lips. And the microphone is nowhere near his mouth. It’s heartbreaking.”
While looking to struggle through the 1978 classic “Grease”, a representative for Valli promised the singer is “super happy.” They told The Post, “Frankie is doing just fine and super happy to still be performing. The audiences are filling venues and listening to some great music. Frankie is doing what he loves to do at 90. We should all be so lucky.”
For Valli and the Four Seasons, they are currently on The Last Encore farewell tour with dates expanding into April 2025. Marking the end of an era, Valli insisted, “I always loved touring and can’t wait to see the fans.”
