With summer almost over, that means that football season is just on the horizon. Already gearing up for another season, fans are anxiously awaiting for their favorite teams to take the field. And besides cheering for the home team, the start of the season also marks the beginning of another year of fantasy football. While nothing more than friendly competition, fantasy football leagues take the process seriously and for those who lose – the consequences can range from funny to downright evil. And recently, Luke Combs came up with the best way for the losers in his fantasy league to pay their debt.

Taking the stage in Cincinnati, Ohio, Combs treated fans to a concert full of his hit songs. But during his set, the country singer decided to pause for a second to introduce his two friends. He told the crowd, “Who knows what fantasy football is in here? I’ve been in a fantasy football league with some of my best friends from high school for 12 years now, and last year, we decided that whoever lost was gonna have to come on stage and sing with me tonight. Lucky for me, there was a scoring issue in the last game, and my two best friends in the whole world both lost. And they both have to come out and sing in front of you guys tonight.”

Luke Combs Celebrates One Of The Best Fantasy Football Punishments
While Combs spent years performing in front of thousands of fans, his friends don’t know the pressure of having that many eyes on them. And to make it better, they had no say in the song picked. “We worked a little something up with the band. Now, they didn’t get to pick what song they were going to sing. And if you notice, come on out here, fellas. Don’t be shy. Come on out. I want everybody to get a little…stop right here for me. I want everybody to get a nice at their blue suede shoes, because these boys are about to be walking in Memphis. Come on.”
Covering Marc Cohn’s famous song “Walking in Memphis”, the losers of fantasy football appeared in high spirits as they soaked up the atmosphere. One friend even paraded down the catwalk. Thankfully, Combs was on standby, making sure they had more than enough support. And besides sharing a few laughs, the punishment might be one of the best in fantasy football history.
