Slash Says His “Heart Is Permanently Fractured” Over the Death of His Stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight

While gaining international fame thanks to his time with Guns N’ Roses, Slash appeared to take on a persona of his own. With his amazing talents with a guitar, the musician not only played some of the biggest stages in the world but with some of the most iconic performers as well. He even received the runner-up spot to Jimi Hendrix when Time produced their list of The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players. Currently exploring his solo career, Slash recently canceled several concerts after he announced his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, passed away.

On July 19, Knight passed away at the age of 25. Not giving away too many details about her passing, the family asked fans to stay quiet when it comes to rumors. They requested that “social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”

As for Slash, he took a moment to share a picture of Knight on his Instagram. The musician captioned the post with a heartfelt message. “My heart is permenantly fractured. I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been. & still are. The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much. I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally.”

Slash Not The Only One Remembering Lucy-Bleu Knight

Gaining nearly 200,000 likes, fans rushed to the comment section to offer their love and support during the difficult time. Even Lenny Kravitz took a moment to share his love. He wrote, “My deepest condolences brother. And yes, she still IS! Love to the family.” 

Knight’s mother, Meegan Hodges, also released a statement about her daughter’s passing, writing, “Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.” 

Seeming to have a love for music, Knight worked at the Electric Lady Management under the talent section of the studio. Online, she promoted a sizable Instagram following with 35,000. Looking at Slash, he will resume his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour on July 28 in Toronto.
