After Canceling Crazy Horse Tour, Neil Young Is Returning to the Stage—With Willie Nelson

With a glowing career on stage, Neil Young produced iconic songs like “Heart of Gold”, “For What It’s Worth”, and “Harvest Moon.” But that is just the start for the stardom that followed Young as he won countless awards, was honored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is considered one of the greatest musical artists by Rolling Stone. Although a top name in the music industry, fans of Young worried about the musician when he unexpectedly canceled his Crazy Horse summer tour. While concerned for his health, it seems that Young will make his return to the stage during Farm Aid.

Since its first concert, Young performed at every Farm Aid except for 2021 and 2022. Excited to get back to the stage, Young prepared to take the stage with stars like Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, and several others. Releasing a statement, Nelson said, “We’re energized to be back in New York. The farmers here have always found ways to innovate and contribute to their communities, even as they deal with uncertainties, extreme weather and policies that favor corporations over people. Farmers need us to stand with them as they work to grow our future.”

Neil Young Promises To Make Up Canceled Tour

For Young, the year has been somewhat of a struggle after he canceled the Crazy Horse tour, which started back in April. With Young canceling shows from July through September, many fans offered support and love to the musician. Although canceling the tour, Young promised to make it up to fans. “We will try to play some of the dates we miss as time passes when we are ready to rock again! We know many of you made travel plans and we apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Health is #1. We want to stay and do more shows and more albums for you… and for us.”

With Young taking the stage with stars like Nelson, Farm Aid might be one of the hottest lineups this year. For those looking to attend Farm Aid, they can purchase tickets when released on July 26.
