Today’s two-song release means that fans have access to half of Leavin’ This Holler ahead of its release in a couple of weeks. The five songs the band has released showcase both the quality and range of the tracks on the upcoming collection. More importantly, the band has offered fans plenty of new music to get their summer started right while still leaving enough behind the curtain to keep excitement high for release day.

49 Winchester Give Fans Two New Songs

“Hillbilly Happy” has already become a staple of 49 Winchester’s concerts. It’s a barn burner of a song and a perfect way to crank the energy in any room up to 11. Guitarist and lead singer Isaac Gibson spoke about the song in a statement. “’Hillbilly Happy is the rocker on the record,” he shared. “When I wrote it, I wanted something that felt like a summertime anthem—a fun song that also hits hard enough to kind of be a cut-lose-and-slam-it-home moment on stage,” he added. “It’s definitely one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written to play live and I love how it turned out on the record.”

Where “Hillbilly Happy” is a rocking good time, “Make It Count” is introspection through the lens of 49’s signature blend of Southern rock and country music. It’s all about not letting age get in the way of living life to the fullest. However, it’s not a party anthem. This one is more about making every day count because no one knows how many more days they have left.

Leavin’ This Holler will be available across digital platforms as well as several physical formats. Pre-order a hard copy of the album today via New West Records
