Joe Walsh has recorded a new rock anthem called “Dig It” with a little help from his brother-in-law, legendary Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, that serves as the soundtrack for the JCB company’s DIGatron monster truck.

The song, which premiered Saturday, July 13, in London during the Monster Jam event, marks the launch of a long-term charitable partnership between JCB and Walsh’s VetsAid organization and annual benefit concert. According to a press statement, “The partnership will raise awareness and funds for U.S. veterans through the power of rock and the transformative process of rebuilding.”
The statement also describes “Dig It” as “an uplifting call-to-action to support the vital mission of VetsAid.” The song was inspired by JCB family members Alice Bamford and Ann Eysenring’s eight-year-old son Otis, who loves monster trucks. In writing the tune, Walsh hoped it would reflect the excitement of a child and the energy of a monster truck exhibition.
The track boasts some fun simple vocals from Walsh, along with masterful slide-guitar work and blistering solos from the longtime Eagles member. It also features Starr on drums.
You can check out a video for “Dig It” at JCB America’s YouTube channel. The clip features DIGatron performing a variety of flips, jumps, and other jaw-dropping maneuvers during a monster-truck event.

JCB is a heavy-equipment manufacturing company that often deploys its machines in war-torn areas, thereby playing an important role in rebuilding those regions following military conflicts.
