Previously on America’s Got Talent, there were some amazing acts as well as a handful of duds. Additionally, Heidi Klum declared this season the season of talented kids, and this episode proved her right. Klum gave her Golden Buzzer to 9-year-old Pranysqa Mishra, who gave an incredible rendition of Tina Turner’s “River Deep, Mountain High.” She sang with a voice that seemed beyond her years, while her vocal coach praised her as the “next generation of music.”
Additionally, boy band Menudo followed in their namesake’s footsteps and performed an original song on AGT. Simon Cowell stopped them at first, citing vocal issues, but gave them another chance with another original song. The group of teens won over three of the four judges, Cowell included, to send them to the next round of performances.
8-year-old dancer Boss Baby Brody came to the auditions in 2020, but never made it to the stage. However, now he’s older, wiser, and not as sleepy, so he was able to perform. Apparently, he has dreams of being on Broadway, and the judges got him one step closer.
America’s Got Talent Season 19 Sees Incredibly Talented Kids Grace the Stage
The young beatboxer Jollux gave a short performance, but it earned him yeses across the board. Sofia Vergara was enthralled by a fellow Colombian star, dancing in her seat before giving him his final yes to move on to the live rounds.
Another 9-year-old star, Bboy Nana took to the stage and gave a short dance performance, but the head-spinning was enough to win over the judges. Teen singer Oscar Stembridge also wowed the judges with lyrics that spoke to an old soul and maturity beyond his years. He sang an original song, “What If,” that impressed both the judges and the crowd. Stembridge definitely has the potential to be the teen heartthrob of the season.
Last week’s episode may have started out with a few stinkers, but it quickly heated up with dancers, magic, aerial stunts, and incredible young talent. This week’s episode is sure to impress as well. There will be a rerun of tonight’s episode on Sunday, July 14, and a slew of new auditions on Tuesday, July 16.
