KISS launched its End of the Road Tour back in January of 2019, and parts of the trek were delayed multiple times because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The band currently has 14 shows left on the tour, with the next concert scheduled to take place on Friday, November 10 in Edmonton, Canada. The outing will wrap up with a December 1-2 stand at Madison Square Garden.
Tickets are available via StubHub, where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
Meanwhile, KISS fans hoping for an appearance at the final show by the band’s founding and former lead guitarist and drummer, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, will likely be disappointed.
In a recent interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, KISS frontman Paul Stanley revealed that there were no plans to have Frehley and Criss join the group for the concert.
“This tour is a celebration of the band and the life of the band over the past 50 years,” Stanley said. “It’s not a celebration of the original lineup.”
Having said that, Stanley did offer some praise to his former bandmates, although he turned it into a bit of a backhanded compliment.
“I can say we wouldn’t be here today if not for them,” he noted, adding, “We wouldn’t be here today with them.”
Stanley continued, “It doesn’t make sense to allow anybody to come in and call shots. We are in great shape. The band is fantastic. I don’t want to mar the celebration. I don’t want to mar the situation. It’s been too good.”
Stanley and co-founding bassist/singer Gene Simmons, have led KISS since its inception, and have had a fairly contentious relationship with Frehley and Criss, who last toured with the group in 2002 and 2004, respectively. Rounding out KISS’ current lineup are guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.
Reflecting on the band’s final shows, Stanley told Ultimate Classic Rock, “Playing the Garden will be exhilarating and full circle, and yet it’s also the end of the band as it exists.”
