The track is one of two previously unreleased tracks featured on My Morning Jacket’s expanded anthology Happy Holiday! Originally released digitally in 2011, a new extended version of the compilation will be sold as a vinyl exclusive during Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. A clear pressing of the vinyl, adorned with white snow splatters, will be available at select independent record stores on November 24.
Those lucky enough to get their hands on a vinyl version of Happy Holiday! will be treated to nine holiday-themed songs from the indie rock outfit. The project features a mix of original tracks and seasonal classics, including two previously-released collaborations with The Head and the Heart.
My Morning Jacket is currently on the road, wrapping up their final stretch of 2023 tour dates. Today (October 20), they’ll perform their second of three back-to-back dates at Beacon Theatre in New York City. The band will stop in eight more cities across the U.S. through mid-November, wrapping up with three nights in Chicago. Madi Diaz and Devon Gilfillian will serve as support on select dates.
