According to Variety, the move is part of a larger “joint partnership” between Antonoff and label founder Jamie Oborne, who is also taking on the role of manager for both Bleachers and Antonoff’s solo work. Established as an independent label in 2009, Dirty Hit helped launch the career of The 1975, whose self-titled album became a No. 1 hit in 2013.
Antonoff’s first release with Dirty Hit will be Live at Radio City Music Hall, a recording of Bleachers’ sold-out New York City performance in July 2022. The 21-track album, due out August 25, includes a surprise guest appearance by Bruce Springsteen, who joined Antonoff for a rendition of their 2020 collaboration “Chinatown.”
The news caps off an eventful few days for the 39-year-old Grammy Award winner. On Saturday, Antonoff tied the knot with actress Margaret Qualley in his home state of New Jersey. The event was attended by many of the couple’s high-profile friends, including longtime collaborator Taylor Swift, whose fans crowded the streets outside of the couple’s rehearsal dinner a day prior.
