Shania Twain Wants to Collaborate with Dua Lipa

Shania Twain has always been known to push genre boundaries, and she shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, she hopes to collaborate with pop superstar, Dua Lipa. During a chat with Diplo on her Apple Music show, Home Now Radio, Twain revealed that she has her sights set on the “Break My Heart” hitmaker as her dream collaborator.

“I’m such a big fan of both Dua Lipa and Elton John, and Elton John I’ve been on stage with him a couple of times,” Twain explained in reference to John and Lipa’s hit collaboration, “Cold Heart (Pnau remix).” “Dua Lipa, she’s on my bucket list to meet and to perform with. So I’ll just leave it at that. Dua Lipa, if you’re out there and you can hear me let’s do this.”

Twain and John performed her smash hit, “You’re Still the One,” together during Twain’s 1999 CBS special, Winter Break, which was filmed in Miami, Florida. “Cold Heart” was released in August 2021 off Elton’s collaborative album, The Lockdown Sessions. The song pieces together four of John’s biggest hits—”Rocket Man,” “Kiss the Bride,” “Sacrifice” and “Where’s the Shoorah?”—and topped the charts in multiple countries.

In addition to Lipa, Twain is also a fan of rapper Nicki Minaj and “Unholy” singer Kim Petras. “Just the thought of hearing a remix with the two of them excites me,” Twain raves of the “two powerhouse performers,” who recently collaborated on “Alone.” “They’re such badass artists. They’re bold in their performances, their whole visual art is dynamic and cutting edge, and I wouldn’t have really known what to expect of them in person, but both Kim Petras and Nicki Minaj are just as sweet as pie.”

The country megastar is currently on her 2023 Queen of Me Tour through the remainder of summer and fall. It concludes on November 14 in Vancouver, Canada.
