A bomb threat halted Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds concert this past weekend in New York. The former Oasis member’s set was cut “out of an abundance of caution,” according to the New York State Park Police.

The audience at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center was able to watch the two opening acts of the night, Metric and Garbage, before Gallagher’s appearance was halted. The venue gave an announcement on screens beside the stage, detailing the show’s cancelation.
“At this time, we will need to evacuate the venue,” the message read. “We ask you to calmly proceed to the nearest exit. Please follow directions of staff and police officers. For the safety of everyone, please do not rush or push. Thank you for your cooperation.”
To ensure audience safety and rule out a crowd rush, the bomb threat was not revealed until after the venue had been evacuated.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the concert at Saratoga Performing Arts Center was suspended at 9:40 pm and concert attendees were evacuated without incident,” The New York State Park Police wrote on Facebook. “K9s completed a sweep of the venue after the crowd exited, with negative results. This incident is under investigation. This case will be investigated as, Making a Terroristic Threat, a Class D Felony.”
Gallagher’s tour will hopefully continue without interruption. The tour is slated to pick back up Monday night (July 10) at the Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage in New York City. Find the remaining tour dates below.
