Kid Cudi’s upcoming ninth studio album INSANO is slated to drop in September, as its promotional single “Porsche Topless” arrived at the beginning of this month. But, a month before Cudi’s full-length return, he will bring his Moon Man’s Landing festival back to his hometown Cleveland, Ohio, for the second straight year.

Making the announcement on Wednesday (June 14), Cudi confirmed that the second annual Moon Man’s Landing will take place at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on August 19. Along with Cudi being an obvious inclusion on the lineup, Lil Uzi Vert will be the primary headliner for the event, likely just a couple of weeks removed from his impending Pink Tape album.

The rest of the Moon Man’s Landing performers are $UICIDEBOY$, Coi Leray, BASHFORTHEWORLD, Siena Bella, and Chelsea Pastel. Registration for tickets has already begun on the festival’s website, as pre-sale is set to begin at noon ET next Wednesday (June 21).

For the inaugural Moon Man’s Landing last year on September 17, Cudi welcomed fellow hip-hop stars like Playboi Carti, Pusha T, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Don Toliver, and Jaden Smith to the lineup, as well as other alternative acts like 070 Shake and Dominic Fike. At the time, the fest occurred in the middle of Cudi’s To The Moon nationwide tour, which lasted from August to November and helped promote the rapper’s 2022 album Entergalactic.

For Cudi’s upcoming LP, though, he has expressed to fans how world-shaking it will be, promising to make it the best album of any genre this year.

“I’ve never made a project this powerful before in my life,” he said in March. “And you know, sitting and listening to these mixes, I just know that this shit is going to move you. Y’all are going to fuck with this shit in such a major way, and I’m so fuckin’ excited. I just want to get on here and let y’all know that I’m not gonna let y’all down. This is gonna be the album of the year right now. I’m not paying, this is not a fuckin’ joke. Tell everybody you fuckin’ know.”

Recalling Cudi’s 2022 decree that he’d drop one final album before retiring from music, INSANO could very well be his last rodeo. So, capping off an illustrious career, an AOTY-caliber project and a successful self-hosted music festival would be a perfect send-off for the 39-year-old.
