Earlier this week, the trio previewed what fans can expect for the upcoming trek at a warm-up show at the Fox Theatre in California. It’s safe to say that fans will be more than thrilled with the setlist, as it is comprised of the group’s entire discography.
Among the setlist were standout songs from The Record like “Emily I’m Sorry,” “Without You Without Them” and “$20” as well as fan favorites from their 2018 EP including “Salt In The Wound” and “Me & My Dog.”

The Boygenius tour is set to kick off this weekend at Coachella. The group will play on Saturday night of the fest alongside headliners BLACKPINK and Rosalía.
In addition to their solo dates, the group is set to perform as part of the newly instituted Re:Set concert series. The event is slated to take place in June in twelve different cities, with each of the headliners personally curating their own line-up.
American Songwriter gave The Record a bolstering review. “In the five years that the band was apart, they had enough time to wander, reunite, and find themselves on another level,” the review reads. “They’re back with The Record, a series of finely crafted songs that border on confessionary and surreal.
“The band’s individual personalities show up in the small details that reflect their solo projects,” the review continues. “This album is a closer collaboration between the introspective singer/songwriters that make up Boygenius. It showcases their growth as individuals and as a group.”
