Performance Rights organization SESAC held it’s annual Nashville Music Awards presentation last night. Among the big winners were Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott (SESAC’s Songwriter Of The Year) who co-wrote the hits “A Little Bit Stronger Now” and “Just A Kiss,” and Anthony Smith, who picked up Song of the Year for “Tomorrow,” the Chris Young country chart-topper. Check out CMT’s wrap-up here. This is Scott’s second consecutive win for Songwriter of the Year.
SESAC member Bob Dylan was also honored for his omnipresence over this year’s Americana scene — Wanda Jackson, Old 97’s, Sarah Jarosz and North Mississippi Allstars all shared songwriting credits with the legendary artist this year.
