Jimmy Fallon had a very special guest last night. Following an introduction from hyper-resourceful percussion troupe Stomp, Paul Simon emerged for a duet with Fallon on “Cecilia,” the unconventional duo trading lines on the 1970 classic. That wasn’t all–the songwriting legend returned to the Late Night stage for performances of “The Afterlife” and a combination of “Vietnam” and “Mother and Child Reunion.”
Simon’s twelfth studio album, So Beautiful or So What, will be released April 12 (preview it here). In other Paul Simon news, Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig recorded a cover of “Papa Hobo” for the soundtrack of upcoming film Ceremony, which can be heard below.
