Due to the support of an intensely loyal fanbase, Phish has been one of the top touring acts of the past thirty years, with 5,842,798 tickets sold in 475 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore. Inevitably, securing tickets to be one of the 13,800 standing inside the Hampton is not going to be easy. To get a head start, on tickets, priced $49.50 a piece, fans can make a “ticket request,” which are honored by lottery through Phish’s online ticketing system http://phish.portals.musictoday.com. The request period will end Wednesday, October 8th. The remainder of tickets will go on sale on October 18 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. For those who can’t snag a ticket for one of the March dates, all hope is not lost. According to their website, the band plans to announce additional 2009 dates early next year.
