Rufus and Martha Wainwright will perform at an all-star concert at Town Hall in New York City honoring their late mother, singer-songwriter Kate McGarrigle on May 12 and 13. McGarrigle passed away last year after suffering from a rare form of cancer. The Town Hall shows will raise money for the Kate McGarrigle Sarcoma Research Fund.
Joining the bill are late night talk show host and musical impressionist Jimmy Fallon, Norah Jones, Emmylou Harris, Teddy Thompson, Antony Hegarty of Antony and the Johnsons, Justin Bond, and Anna McGarrigle, Kate’s sister and musical partner.
