Rock legend and three-time Grammy winner Booker T. Jones will release his latest album, The Road From Memphis on May 10 via Anti- Records. The new disc will feature guest vocals Matt Berninger from The National, The Roots, Sharon Jones, Yim Yames from My Morning Jacket and Lou Reed, and was produced by the Roots’ Questlove and Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliot Smith). Jones also recorded his own vocals for the album on the track “Down In Memphis,” a rarity.

The album charts the evolution of soul music, stopping along the way in Memphis, Detroit, Philadelphia, and elsewhere.
