Music legends Simon and Garfunkel will join Pearl Jam, the Allman Brothers Band, My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison, Black Crowes, the Dead Weather, Elvis Costello, and many more at this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

This will mark the first time the duo, who rarely perform together, have banded together in the States since last year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary concerts at Madison Square Garden.

“Over the years I’ve always enjoyed performing at Jazz Fest,” said Paul Simon in a statement. “Everyone connected with the Festival, and in particular Quint Davis [director of Jazz Fest], has created an atmosphere that is both musical and enjoyable. I am looking forward to the opportunity to perform with my old friend Art Garfunkel at this year’s Festival.”

Simon and Garfunkel will play on Saturday, April 24th, the second day of the festival. For more information, visit nojazzfest.com.
