Journeyman singer/songwriter Chip Taylor is famous for a few things — a colorful past, writing the hits “Wild Thing” and “Angel Of The Morning,” and being the brother of veteran actor (and Angelina Jolie’s daddy) Jon Voight.

This month, Voight will join Taylor for two special performances, December 13 at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia, and December 14 at New York City’s Living Room.

When he’s not dipping into his prodigious back catalog, Taylor, the sometime duet partner of of Carrie Rodriguez, will be “kibitzing” with his brother Jon throughout the show. The former pro gambler will be focusing on his latest album, Yonkers, NY, which features several autobiographical efforts, including the single “Bastard Brothers.” On October 28, the city of Yonkers dubbed the date “Chris Taylor Day”).

Listen to MP3s of that “Bastard Brothers” and “No Dice” here and here. Stream the entire album here. You won’t regret it.
