The long-anticipated and endlessly-speculated lineup for Austin City Limits is finally here… and it’s as epically eclectic as expected. Foo Fighters and Beck will headline the festival alongside Robert Plant and Allison Krauss. The Raconteurs, John Fogerty, Gnarls Barkley, and former-Talking Head David Byrne round out the top acts. After that, it gets a little… well, eclectic.

In the true spirit of American music festivals (which this summer will surpass the McDonalds arches as the most recognizable and ubiquitous sight on the country’s landscape), ACL-goers can groove with Erykah Badu before hopping over to shoot whiskey with Robert Earl Keen—-all the while sporting their sweat-soaked wifebeater from The Black Keys’ mosh. We’re in.Austin stages in September will be more than a few friends and favorites of American Songwriter. Indie-sensations Vampire Weekend (featured in our last issue!) will be performing a post-SXSW victory lap through town.
