ARTIST: Nick Dittmeier & the Sawdusters

SONG: “My True Love”

HOMETOWN:  Jeffersonville, Indiana

CURRENT LOCATION: Louisville, Kentucky

AMBITIONS: Getting in the van, letting America hear these songs we spent so much time developing

TURN-OFFS: Being late

TURN-ONS: Discounted flannel

DREAM GIG: Farm Aid 1987 with John Mellencamp

FAVORITE LYRIC: “Roses are red and violets are purple/sugar is sweet and so is maple surple…” – “Dang Me” by Roger Miller. Much respect for finding a rhyme for “purple.”

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Fire Lake” by Bob Seger

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH:  Alex Trebek, Terri Gross, Anthony Bourdain, Bill Burr, Dale Watson

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: My dad took me to see Lynyrd Skynyrd when I was 13. We walked across the Ohio River bridge to Louisville to see them play at the waterfront. I saw a one armed man light a joint with his nub.

I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE…  I wanted to write a song my niece and nephew could sing along too, but make something adults could relate to as well.
