ARTIST: The Highland Reunion

SONG: “The Fight”

BIRTHDATE:  (band) 8/16/13

HOMETOWN: Terre Haute, Indiana

CURRENT LOCATION: Nashville, TN

AMBITIONS: All things music. We live in a town where everyone wants to be the next big thing. We’re not in it to be the next big thing, we make music for us. Because we love to do it. We all have day jobs. That being said, we’d love to get our music into film.

TURN-OFFS: Pretentious bands.

TURN-ONS: Bands with the “Three Musketeer” attitude…..and hot sauce.

DREAM GIG:

Jon: Opening for Conor Oberst

Brook: Opening for Prince

Jimmy: Riviera Theater

FAVORITE LYRIC:

Jon: “Your eyes must do some raining, if you’re ever going to grow”

Brook: “I can see it in your eyes, the fight.”

Jimmy: “There’s gotta be a record of you some place. You gotta be on somebodys books. The lowdown, a picture of your face. Your injured looks.”

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW:

Jon: My children (ages 5 & 9). Those kids are the definition of crazy.

Brook: A coworker who shall remain nameless.

SONG I WISH I WROTE:

Jon: Into Giants by Patrick Watson

Brook: Shine On You Crazy Diamond

Jimmy: Beware of Darkness, or anything from George Harrison really.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH:

Jon: Neil Young, Thom Yorke, Wes Anderson, Bob Dylan and JD Salinger

Brook: Mike Tyson, John Bonham, Steve Buschemi, Nikola Tesla, Timothy Leary

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE:

Jon: Radiohead

Brook: TBD

Jimmy: I got a last minute chance to see Wynton Marsalis play at the Indianapolis circle my freshman year of college. I had never been to a jazz concert and was blown away by that evening!
