A new Leonard Cohen album is on its way, and you can hear it in full courtesy of NPR’s First Listen. Popular Problems, the lauded singer-songwriter’s 13th album, is out September 23 from Columbia Records. Think of it as sort of a birthday gift to himself, as it comes two days after Cohen’s 80th birthday.

Unfortunately, it seems that he won’t be touring in support of the album since it was reported he isn’t planning any 2014 dates.
Popular Problems is the follow-up to 2012’s acclaimed Old Ideas, which was his best-selling album to date. As on that album, Cohen is joined by cowriter and producer Patrick Leonard.
