The Artist:
Dark Horse Flyer, a six piece blues-rock group with a three-guitar frontline from Florida
The Song: “Evil Woman”, from their debut album Breakaway, out September 30th on Florida Street Records
Fun Fact: The band is a spin-off of Breeze, formed by old friends Don Mularz and Scott Lane in the 1970’s who reunited four decades later
Songwriter Says:  “(This song was) written with my Split Decision partner, Olie Olsen. Never recorded or performed live, it needed more than 4 pieces to bring it to life.  Dark Horse Flyer accomplishes that in spades – this track exceeded my expectations on all levels and demonstrates the sheer power the band can generate.  It rocks. I originally played slide for my fills and lead, but Scott (Lane) and I agreed the song needed the grittier guitar sounds to match the energy, and the slide is now only in the bridge.  A nice “full circle” touch was having Olie come in and contribute the rockin’ B3 organ riffs.” – Dark Horse Flyer founding member Don Mularz
