AMBITIONS: My ultimate ambition is to someday look back on my beautiful, colorful, happy life and beam with joy.

TURN-OFFS: superficiality & dishonesty.

TURN-ONS: talent, passion, confidence and dimples.

DREAM GIG: touring with Bruce Springsteen & Mavis Staples.

FAVORITE LYRIC: I’ve always been obsessed with Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bookends.”

“Time it was, and what a time it was, it was

A time of innocence, a time of confidences

Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph

Preserve your memories, they’re all that’s left of you”

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: three-way tie between my parents & my friend Hiroka Nakahira (Vermont visual artist & roller derby star)

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Bill Murray, Barack & Michelle Obama, John Lee Hooker and Cindy Lauper

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Jimmy Vaughan at the original House of Blues in Cambridge, MA

I WROTE THIS SONG: “On Top of the World” came pouring out as few songs do – already nearly complete. I was an a very pivotal place in my life at the time when I wrote it. It was a tumultuous time -artistically and emotionally. “On Top of the World” was empowering to write. It also fills me up every time I perform it live. I am love with it.
