ARTIST:  Army Of Me

SONG:  White Flag Flies

BIRTHDATE:  Feb. 22

HOMETOWN:  Gaithersburg, MD

CURRENT LOCATION:  Nashville, TN

AMBITIONS:  To learn how to love. To build a cabin in Montana one day. To find as many arrowheads as possible.

TURN-OFFS:  Cell phone absorption, laziness.

TURN-ONS:  Eye contact. An easy smile. Someone who listens.

DREAM GIG:  It’s a tie between Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks in Colorado!

FAVORITE LYRIC:  Two souls too smart to be in the realm of certainty. Even on our wedding day. – U2

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW:  Pope Francis, for being so radically orthodox, that it smells of rebellion.

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. And I wish I could sing it like Jeff Buckley.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Bono, John Paul II, my deceased Grandpa Scheuerman, my parents and 5 brothers all at once, my future wife.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE:  The time Army Of Me got rained out, at an outdoor concert. But the sun came out after our set-time, so the concert continued. And the headliner – Switchfoot, walked off stage in the middle of their set to let my band play a song, on their equipment.

I WROTE THIS SONG: With the idea that sometimes surrender and letting go brings a kind of serenity that is more valuable than things working out exactly how I planned.

The music video for “White Flag Flies” will be released tomorrow. Check out the preview here.
