FAVORITE LYRIC: “You spent your life earning the keys to set you free when you were free all along”

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: Thomas Gentry. He’s a video genius, good friend, and crazy in the most entertaining way. 90% of our college stories start with, “so our friend Thomas….”

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles.

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: John Green, Neil Young, Conan O’Brien, Ryan Tedder, Tom Haverford

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Going to the Bridge School Benefit with my dad in Mountain View, CA.  I was 17 or 18, it was my first time in California and we just explored the bay area for a week.  The show is an annual benefit put on by Neil Young, and that year it featured him, John Mayer, Tom Waits, Regina Spektor, Jerry Lee Lewis, and others all doing acoustic sets.

I WROTE THIS SONG: “Oh My Love” is a song about fighting for/through something and getting to a point with no clear direction outside of your sense of love and purpose.   That feeling in life when you’re too far in a path to turn back, you desperately want to move towards somewhere/someone, but you just have to have faith in the middle of the journey where everything is still uncertain.  The chorus is kind of like an S.O.S. for a higher presence to take me where I can’t take myself.
