MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Slash’s Snakepit in 1995. I was 12. Got to meet him. Stole his cigarette butt out of the ashtray and still have it.

I WROTE THIS SONG: ‘Heartbeat’ was one of the easy ones. It gave itself to me in one sitting. Everything I was feeling got channeled into that song…even the wishful thinking.
