Omnivore Recordings is set to release a six-song EP featuring two Waylon Jennings/Old 97’s collaborations and four Old 97’s demos. Two of the demos are previously unreleased.

The collaboration came about after Jennings attended an Old 97’s show in 1996. Jennings got in the studio with the band and recorded the tracks later that year.

Jennings passed away in 2002.

Feature Story – Waylon Jennings: The Eternal Outlaw

A digipack form of the EP will be available and feature artwork by artist Jon Langford, known for his portraits of country icons, and liner notes by Old 97s’ Rhett Miller.

The EP will be released October 1.
