Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell will launch a co-headlining tour with acclaimed British songwriter Richard Thompson on March 17 in St. Louis to promote their two new album releases.

The tour will run primarily on the eastern side of the United States (with one date in Ontario) but more shows will be announced soon.
Old Yellow Moon is a collaborative collection of duets that captures Harris’ sweet soprano paired with Crowell, who wrote several songs on the album.
“You get two voices that are unique and then you create a third voice with the duet,” Harris said in a recent American Songwriter interview. “Obviously, it has to be a good song – that’s always the most important thing. But it’s great…. it’s like being invited to play a guitar solo. You’re using your voice as an instrument to add to the emotional color or shading of the song.”
Richard Thompson’s album Electric was produced by Americana great Buddy Miller, and will be released on February 5 on New West Records.
Tickets for the tour go on sale starting this week.
