In a video tour of his studio, Veritas Studios, below, Morello shows off his collection of guitars. The camera pans across his array of pedals, which includes the DOD FX40B Equalizer pedal. It is a pedal used to change tone or eliminate feedback.
2. MXR M101 Phase 90
The MXR M101 Phase 90 also appears in his home studio tour. A leading pedal in professional audio, the pedal provides smooth effects to the playing of not just guitars, but also the basses, keyboards, or vocals.

According to Sweetwater, greats like Eddie Van Halen, Dave Grohl, and Nancy Wilson have also made use of this pedal in their rigs.
3. DigiTech WH1 Whammy Pedal
The DigiTech WH1 Whammy Pedal is another pedal used by Morello. The original Whammy pedal is a must-have for guitarists as it provides effects with unmatched fullness and depth. Other guitar greats like Steve Vai, Jack White, and U2’s The Edge also use the DigiTech WH1 Whammy, according to Sweetwater.

Also in Morello’s arsenal is the DigiTech Whammy DT, a drop-tuning pedal that makes alternate tuning a breeze. No pausing to tune or change guitars, with the DigiTech Whammy DT, key changes happen underfoot and are instantaneous with the tap of a pedal.
