Given that Vince Gill first rose to fame in the late ’80s, he had to participate in the growing practice of creating music videos. Though they may not have been as flashy as some of the other videos of the era, they were stellar in their own right. Check out four of our favorite Gill videos, below.

4 of Vince Gill’s Best Music Videos
1. “Look At Us”
“Look At Us” features clips of several enduring couples. It’s an effigy of love itself, perfectly capturing the sentiment behind the lyrics. It’s sure to soften the hardest heart.
Look at us
After all these years together
Look at us
After all that we’ve been through
Look at us
2. “What The Cowgirls Do”
What’s more country than line dancing? “What The Cowgirls Do” sees Gill perform in front of a rowdy bar crowd. He provides the music for them to bust a few moves. Given that many a line dancer has stepped to a Gill song, this music video feels apt.
I love it when they let their hair down
And dance real close to you
You know I’m a sucker, babe, for what the cowgirls do
What the cowgirls do
Shoot that thing
3. “One More Last Chance”
If anything is apparent while watching Gill’s “One More Last Chance” music video, it’s how much fun he seems to be having. The visual matches the raucous energy of the song. Gill and his friends all hit the golf course, buying time before their old ladies call them back home again.
Give me just a one more last chance
Before you say we’re through
I know I drive you crazy baby
It’s the best that I can do
We’re just some good ol’ boys, a makin’ noise
I ain’t a runnin’ ’round on you
Give me just a one more last chance
Before you say we’re through
4. “Go Rest High On That Mountain”
If you’re going to sing a song as solemn as “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” you need to do it somewhere equally as sacred. In the accompanying visual to this song, Gill, Patty Loveless, and Ricky Skaggs took to the Ryman stage. The Mother Church perfectly captured the sentiment behind this eulogy.
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin’
Love for the Father and the Son
