1. Eric Church Threw Out Some Wild Covers

Eric Church pulled out a lot of tricks during his hefty hour-and-a-half set at Concert For Carolina, and everyone was into it. Rather than focusing exclusively on his original work, Church dove into a medley of cover songs from his biggest inspirations. A few of those songs include “Dock Of The Bay” by Otis Redding, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard, Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Carolina”, and “My Girl” by The Temptations.

2. Dolly Parton’s Incredible Contribution

Even though she wasn’t there physically, Queen of Country Dolly Parton still wanted to help out the cause. Caleb Pressley and Marty Smith (who were hosting the concert) announced shortly after Church’s set that Parton had just pledged a whopping $1 million to the cause, on top of the million she had already donated to relief organizations less than a month ago.

3. A Powerful Acoustic Set From Billy Strings

Luke Combs and Eric Church were far from the only powerhouse performers to take the stage yesterday. Billy Strings made an appearance and put on an incredible acoustic set. The bluegrass, jammy set was both emotional and impressive. He even performed a stunning tribute to North Carolina’s Doc Watson with an arresting cover of “Train That Carried My Girl From Town”.

4. Luke Combs And Eric Church Put On A Wild Show

What better way to close out a powerhouse concert than with a Beyonce-level production? Well, maybe not quite Beyonce. But everyone was shocked at the incredible performance Luke Combs put on at Bank Of America Stadium.

Combs kicked off his own set after Church’s, and it was quite a sight to see. He pummeled through his hits at a crazy pace, dishing out songs like “Loving On You” and “Beer Never Broke My Heart” with wild energy. At the very end, he performed a live duet with Church for the song “Does To Me”, and the fans went crazy. It was a truly tremendous night with heartwarming results for those affected by Hurricane Helene.
