Great news for tablet junkies and American Songwriter subscribers who have iPad and Android devices: the January/February 2015 edition is now available for download! The dead-tree edition doesn’t hit stands until January 8, but you don’t have to wait to dive into our “30th Anniversary Commemorative Issue.”

In this special issue, we go behind the scenes and look at the magazine’s history over three decades, as staffers past and present contribute anecdotes about their time working at AS. We pick our favorite song of the year for each of our thirty years, starting with Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In The U.S.A” in 1984. Elsewhere, former Lyric Contest Grand Prize Winners write about their experience winning the contest and what it has meant to their songwriting careers. We also catch up with former interns who have gone on to carve out respectable careers as songwriters themselves. And there’s a whole pictorial history of the magazine to feast your eyes on.

Click here to purchase the iPad version in iTunes, and here to purchase the Android-compatible version through Google play.

And don’t forget to buy your tickets to American Songwriter’s 30th Anniversary Party on Jan. 8 at City Winery, in Nashville.
