In addition to acting, Kidman has also used her voice in music, putting her musical talent front and center in Moulin Rouge! while also collaborating with several artists over the years. Check out three songs you didn’t know featured Kidman below.

1. “Say Something” by Luke Evans

Kidman is one of the many actors who also has singing chops. She got to show off her voice when she teamed up with her Nine Perfect Strangers co-star Luke Evans on his cover album, A Song For You. The two dueted on a cinematic cover of Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World’s hit “Say Something” which showed off Kidman’s soft and sweet vocals.

“I already had that song in my head, because I knew that it would fit Nicole’s voice very well, that I could blend our voices,” Evans explained in a statement in 2022. “She was so grateful that I’d asked her. I was, like, ‘grateful? You have no idea how grateful I am!’ But she’s a lovely woman, and a friend, and very generous with their time. To do something like this was really special.”

2. “Somethin’ Stupid” by Robbie Williams

Before duetting with Evans, Kidman joined forces with Robbie Williams on a cover of Frank and Nancy Sinatra’s hit duet, “Somethin’ Stupid.” Featured on Williams’ 2001 swing cover album, Swing When You’re Winning, Williams and Kidman add a flamenco flair to the classic song. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Kidman revealed that she was in between movies at the time Williams asked her to sing with him. “He just asked me to do it…I was kind of like, ‘Ok I’ll give it a go.’ I’d done Moulin Rouge! I was so shy,” she recalled. “He was really nice.”

3. “Female” by Keith Urban

Though Kidman’s voice has been front and center on several tracks, she took a backseat on her husband Keith Urban’s song, “Female.” The song was inspired by the emergence of the #MeToo movement following the reports of film mogul Harvey Weinstein’s years of sexual abuse toward women.

Kidman and co-writer Nicolle Galyon provide gentle background vocals on the chorus as Urban sings, Soul survivor/Holy Water/Secret keeper, fortune teller/Virgin Mary, scarlet letter/Technicolor river wild/Baby girl, women shine/Female.

“I thought it was nice and very personal to blend these girls into the song because it just felt very right for what the song means to me,” Urban said at the time of the song’s release.
