3 of the Most Buzzy Songs on Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ That Are Sure to Have Fans Talking

1. “Taste”

Carpenter dares to get a little bitter on “Taste.” Carpenter warns her ex’s new girl that, though she’s won him, her memory will be sticking around. Most of us want to take the high ground after a relationship (or at least appear to do so). In this song, Carpenter doesn’t take that approach. It’s a daring song with just enough of a beat to make you forget Carpenter’s pissed off.

I heard you’re back together and if that’s true
You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissin’ you
If you want forever, I bet you do
Just know you’ll taste me too

2. “Juno”

Carpenter wants to take the next step with someone. If you love me right, then who knows? / I might let you make me Juno, she sings, referencing the 2007 movie of the same name. Like the namesake character in Juno, Carpenter is ready to have someone’s baby. For all the ways to tell someone you love them, this song is certainly one of the most blunt.

I know you want my touch for life
If you love me right, then who knows?
I might let you make me Juno
You know I just might
Let you lock me down tonight
One of me is cute, but two though?
Give it to me, baby
You make me wanna make you fall in love

3. “Coincidence”

Carpenter isn’t afraid to get explicit in her songs. She’s always down for a good innuendo. But, in the case of “Coincidence,” “explicit” means getting very candid about a cheating partner. For someone not living their life in the public eye, their drama might not mean much. Because Carpenter does have a bright spotlight, we can venture to guess who this song is about, which makes it oh-so-enticing to listen to.

The second I put my head on your chest
She knew, she’s got a real sixth sense
Now her name comes up once, then it comes up twice
And without her even bein’ here, she’s back in your life
Now she’s in the same d*** city on the same d*** night
