The 2016 Grammy Awards aired on CBS last night, and the three-and-a-half hour broadcast provided no shortage of surprises, upsets and triumphs for some of the biggest names in the music community. Taylor Swift took home the evening’s big honor, winning Album of the Year for 2014’s 1989. Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” earned Song of the Year, while Mark Ronson’s and Bruno Mars’s “Uptown Funk” went home with Record of the Year. Kendrick Lamar led the evening with five wins.

Alabama Shakes won three awards, taking home trophies for Best Rock Song (“Don’t Wanna Fight”), Best Rock Performance (“Don’t Wanna Fight”) and Best Alternative Music Album (Sound & Color). Chris Stapleton also had a big night, winning Country Album of the Year for Traveller and Best Country Solo Performance for that album’s title track.
