Black Motorcycle Club returns with the follow-up to 2010’s Beat the Devil’s Tattoo. Details are scarce, but the band says via their Facebook page: “It’s going to be a joyful day indeed when we get to see you all again and share these songs with you. Peter, Leah and myself are dying to get out of this studio right now and back into the fight. It’s taken us a long while getting back on our feet, but the time has come.”

The Cave Singers – Naomi (3/5)

The Seattle rock band the Cave Singers return with their follow-up to 2011’s “No Witch.” The 12-song effort was produced and engineered at Avast Studios in Seattle by Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Built To Spill, Shins, Modest Mouse). According to their press release, the album focuses on “love and suffering, surrender and redemption: the messy stuff of life.”

Phosphorescent – Muchacho (3/19)

Singer-songwriter Matthew Houck returns to his Phosphorescent moniker for the follow-up to 2010’s Here’s to Taking it Easy. According to a press release, the album was written in Mexico. “It sounds really cheesy, but I went down there with a guitar and got a little hut on the beach in Tulum, on the Yucatan Peninsula,” says Houck.

Low – The Invisible Way (3/19)

Low releases their 10th album with Jeff Tweedy of Wilco producing. It was recorded at the Loft, Wilco’s Chicago recording studio. Alan Sparhawk tells Spin that the songs are “about intimacy, the drug war, the class war, plain old war war, archaeology, and love.”

Junip – S/T (4/23)

Jose Gonzalez-led trio Junip’s follow-up to 2010’s Fields. The teaser trailer for the album seems to indicate the band going in a similar direction.

David Mayfield Parade (TBA)

Americana band David Mayfield Parade returns with new songs for their sophomore release. The album was recorded in two legendary studios, RCA B and The Quonset Hut. On the Kickstarter page for the album, Mayfield says the album will “capture the urgency of a live performance without sacrificing crystal clarity – a warm, classic sound that is sure to be enjoyed by the most particular audiophile all the way to the kid enjoying music from the speaker of his or her cellular phone.” Mayfield has played with many others including his sister Jessica Lea and The Avett Brothers.

Pond – Hobo Rocket (TBA)

Featuring two members of Tame Impala, Australian band Pond plan to release the follow-up to this year’s Beard, Wives, Denim in the coming months. Judging from live footage of one of the new songs, there’s sure to be plenty of stomping guitar riffs and psychedelic jams.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (TBA)

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes companion album to this year’s Here. While Here found the band scaling back some, Sharpe promises this album will have more a cinematic feel.

Flaming Lips – The Terror (TBA)

After collaborating with others the Flaming Lips will release a brand new album, their 15th. Wayne Coyne tells Rolling Stone he feels the album is “possibly the best Flaming Lips record ever made,” and that it was create spontaneously without knowing it would become a full album.

Davy Knowles (TBA)

British blues singer and guitarist Davy Knowles’ follow-up to 2009’s Coming Up for Air. In an interview with PledgeMusic.com, Knowles says “There is a more consistent and coherent “sound” to what we are working on now, it feels more like me – as opposed to me trying to be my influences.”
